Privacy Policy

My Neighbor · Effective date: October 7, 2026

The short version: CA3DWorks collects nothing. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts. Your list stays on your device and in your own iCloud or Google backup.

This policy is for the My Neighbor app from CA3DWorks (Carlos Andrade). It explains what the app stores and what CA3DWorks does not collect.

Who this applies to

My Neighbor is a personal neighborhood watch list app. CA3DWorks does not run an account system for the app and does not operate servers for it. Your data is saved privately on your device and in your own iCloud account on Apple devices, or your own Google account backup on Android devices.

What the app stores

Your neighbor list. Names, phone numbers, house pins, addresses, and notes you enter are stored on your device and, when iCloud is on, in your Apple ID’s private iCloud (CloudKit). CA3DWorks cannot read them.

My Card. Your own name, number, and optional house pin and address. Stored on the device and synced through iCloud key-value storage on devices signed into the same Apple ID.

Settings. Texting and map preferences, stored and synced the same way as My Card.

Permissions (all optional)

  • Location, only while you use the app, to center the map and drop a pin where you’re standing. Your location is not stored or shared.
  • Contacts, only to pick neighbors you choose and, if you ask, to read their Home address to place a pin. With limited access, the app sees only the contacts you select.
  • Camera, only to scan a neighbor’s QR code.

Services provided by Apple and Google

Maps. Map images and address lookups are handled by Apple Maps on iPhone, and Google Maps on Android, the same as using those maps apps. Their privacy policies apply.

Texts. Messages are sent by your own Messages app and carrier. The app never sends anything by itself; you always tap Send.

Android app

Your data. On Android, your neighbor list is stored on your device. The Android app does not use iCloud and does not sync with the Apple versions of the app.

Android backup. If Android Backup is enabled in your phone’s settings, Android may save a copy of the app’s data to your Google account so it can be restored on a new device. This backup is managed by Google under your Android settings, not by CA3DWorks.

Sharing

My Neighbor shares information only when you do it yourself: showing your QR code, sending your card, sending a text, or exporting your list. Only the details you turn on in My Card are included in your card.

What we do not do

  • No ads
  • No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
  • No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites
  • No sale of personal data
  • No accounts on our servers

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings (•••) > iCloud and Data > Delete All Data. Deleting the app removes its data from the device. On iPhone, you can also manage iCloud data in the Settings app under your name > iCloud.
