Your data
Your neighbor list, My Card, and settings stay on your device. On iPhone they sync with your Apple ID’s private iCloud when iCloud is on. On Android they stay on the phone, and Android Backup may restore them on a new Android phone if that’s on in your Android settings. The Apple and Android apps do not share a list. They are not stored on CA3DWorks servers, and CA3DWorks cannot read them.
Texts are sent by your own Messages app (iPhone) or texting app (Android), and nothing is sent until you tap Send.
Common questions
How do I add a neighbor?
Tap + on the map, then Add From Meeting. Pick them from Contacts, scan their My Neighbor QR code, or type their name and number. Then drop a pin on their house.
Can I add neighbors who are already in my Contacts?
Tap +, then Pin Neighbors From Contacts. Choose who to add, and the app finds each house from their Home address. You check every pin before anything is saved.
I added someone as their own house, but they live with another neighbor (or with me).
Open their card and tap Move to Another House. Family or roommates at your own address appear under Lives With Me on My Card.
How do I text several neighbors at once?
Tap Text Watch List, choose houses, and send as a group or separately.
How do I share my number with a new neighbor?
Open My Card and show the QR code. Any iPhone or Android camera can scan it. You choose whether your house pin and address are included.
Will my list move to a new phone?
On iPhone, yes, when you sign in with the same Apple ID and iCloud is on. On Android, yes, if Android Backup is on. The Apple and Android lists do not sync with each other.
Can I export my list?
Settings (•••) > iCloud and Data > export as a contacts file or a spreadsheet.
How do I delete everything?
Settings (•••) > iCloud and Data > Delete All Data.
